A FASHION SHOW FOR A GREENER SOCIETY

This year Revamped will be featuring, reFINDefined, Chicago's exclusive "go green" pop up shop vintage collection. The ever changing collections feature today's hottest trends, cuts and styles using hand-picked vintage as the base. Using repurposed materials, remnant fabrics and luxurious vintage materials, the design duo creates one of a kind "reFINDefined" pieces. The Spring Collection in influenced by nature and the beauty and strength of femininity. Expect bold mixed prints, bright colors and the perfect little black dress!

reFINDefined thrives off exclusivity and fashion trend innovation made eco-conscious. The mission is to provide current fashion trends through redefined pieces while equipping fashion-conscious clients with the tools and helpful hints to create a "culture of eco-consciousness" within their communities. This is a shared mission with EarthShare making it the perfect collaboration for Revamped 2011.

All of the looks from the runway and othe vintage items will be available after the show for a pop-up sale!

Purpose

"Revamped" is centered around a cutting-edge green, recycled fashion and art show dedicated to celebrating and promoting the beauty of eco-conscious lifestyle practices.


Proceeds will benefit EarthShare of Illinois, which represents over 60 leading environmental and conservation organizations making a difference locally, nationally and internationally.

Tickets

General Admin tickets include open bar from 7-11pm and are $35 in advance, $45 at the door. VIP Guests will enjoy a seat at the runway, and entry into the VIP Lounge with a private bar and hors d'oeuvres. Tickets are $75.

Silent Auction & Art Exhibition

During the exhibtion we will host a silent auction with proceeds to benefit EarthShare of Illinois. Auction will end at 10:00 You need to be present to win.

An exhibition of artwork using recycled materials juried by Nathan Mason from the Chicago Office of Tourism and Culture will be displayed during the event. Artwork will be for sale and a portion of all sales will benefit EarthShare of Illinois. Click on the link for Art & Design for more information.

Featured Designer

Reginald Woods

ReFINDefined Reginald Woods, creator of reFINDefined, was born in Mississippi then raised in Cedar Falls, Iowa.

He realized his love of fashion would finally bring him to Chicago where he studied Fashion Marketing and Business at Columbia College. In 2009, he founded ImagineFashions, an event production and styling company which provides a platform for developing designers, models, and businesses. His company's repertoire includes venues and designers both local and global, and Reginald is proud to say ReFINDefined has met immense success with its nationwide shopping events.

As his brand continues to grow, Reginald is ever mindful that with success comes much responsibility. It is this philosophy that will continue to inspire philanthropy in all of his events, designs, and interactions.

The Style CooperativeThe Style Cooperative is a Chicago-based accessories line with special emphasis on contemporary menswear. Catering design and product offerings to the growing set of well groomed & stylishly inclined men emerging in cities across the globe, the brand is quickly gaining popularity with its signature casual bow ties and neckties.

As principal designer, Rachel Brooks' approach to design is a healthy marriage between old world craftsmanship, and forward-looking style in the contemporary space. Placing importance in sourcing high quality natural fibers and producing all garments to order in collaboration with local artisans, sustainability is woven into the cultural fiber at The Style Cooperative.

Still a young brand, The Style Cooperative has laid the groundwork and generated buzz among the influential of men's contemporary wear in the social space. Marta Cebrat-Czernik

The Style CooperativeJewelry as an art form has the power to create confidence, provoke opinions and produce a style. The combination of unique textures and innovative modern techniques of Marta Cebrat-Czernik jewelry quickly established the designer as one of today's leading young jewelry designers. Since launching her brand in 2010 MCebrat jewelry has been spotted in several magazines including CS and was recently worn by Polish actress Magda Schejbal.

Glamour, Edge, and Modern Elegance is what you will find in every piece. Originally born in Poland Marta Cebrat-Czernik came to the United States in 93' and since has lived in Chicago. Earning a Bachelor's Degree in Fashion Design at the Illinois Institute of Art were her next journey begins into the world of apparel.

Christina Pedroso

Quirky Couture serves as an Eco-Conscious creative outlet for an up and coming Fashion Designer currently attending The Illinois Institute of Art-Chicago. Christina Pedroso enjoys testing the limits of what it means to be Fashionable, yet retain that all important zest of individuality! Weapons of choice? Upcycled materials, fine fabrics, knitting needles and plenty of crochet hooks. Earth preserving practices in apparel come natural for this original West coast native. Pedroso is developing a unified sense of city and natural civility through fashion desgin.

Currently she is developing a style that is an amalgam of nature driven designs and upscale fashionable city trends that are on the cutting edge in Chicago. Art & Design

Art Exhibition

This year, the event has expanded and local artists have been invited to showcase their recycled artwork. Guests will be introduced to a new community of local artists and designers that create with the environment in mind. Artists include Nicole Matta Santos, Carrie Ann Schumacher, Jay Strommen, Maggie Joyce, Charles Heinrich, Tiffany Gholar and Brikena Boci.

Lighting and Furniture Design

The event will also feature recycled plastic chandeliers by designer Bao-Khang Luu of New York. Also, flower arrangements and recycled furniture including bars, benches, recycled palette tables and VIP lighting by event designer Gina Hutchings of Chicago.

Location & Directions

The Bridgeport Art Center is located at the corner of Racine and 35th Street. Parking and entrance is located on the North entrance of the building which is accessible off of Racine Avenue in the gated parking area. Look for signs for Revamped Fashion Show. Parking is free. For public transportation, take the CTA Red Line to 35th street and take the bus west to Racine Street or take the Orange line to 35th street and the bus East to Racine street.
