More than 130 businesses and government agencies now partner with EarthShare Illinois (ESIL).

ESIL allows donors the unique option of making one gift (to be shared among all member groups) or designating a contribution to one or more ESIL member organizations of their choice.

ESIL will also work with your company/organization to provide speakers, interactive events, and other employee engagement opportunities.

What is workplace giving?

Workplace giving is a means by which employees donate to charitable organizations of their choice, primarily through payroll contribution.
Why donate via payroll contribution?

Donations through workplace giving enable EarthShare Illinois (ESIL) member organizations to spend less time fundraising and more time working toward a healthier environment. Gifts to ESIL are shared among our member groups with the majority of funds staying in Illinois. Please see the four reasons ESIL focuses on payroll contribution.

How to Give at Work

There are 3 ways to give to EarthShare Illinois or a specific member group:

    1. Direct Donation (either by check or electronically via Network for Good),
    2. One-Time donation through your workplace campaign, or
    3. Payroll contribution.

How do I give by payroll contribution at my workplace?

Government workplaces:
If you work for one of the many government agencies in our area such as the State of Illinois, the University of Illinois, Illinois State University, the federal government, City of Chicago, as well as many other counties and cities, you can find ESIL and our member groups listed in the campaign catalog under the "EarthShare Illinois." Once you have found us, write our code number, and/or that of one or more of our member groups, on your payroll pledge form.

Corporate workplaces:
If you work for one of many corporations that include ESIL in your workplace giving campaign, find ESIL on your payroll pledge form and write ESIL and/or one of our member groups as a specific designation(s).

How is my donation divided?

A gift to EarthShare Illinois is divided among all of our member groups or you can designate your donation to go to one or more of ESIL's member groups or your choice.
